Imagine Communications Videotek VSG-4MTG

The Videotek VSG-4MTG is a 3G/SD/HD master timing generator part of the Imagine Communications reference sync and timing platform. The unit is small in size, with redundant power supply inputs, and is low in power consumption and light in weight, making it perfect fit for all broadcast television and post production environments.

Installation and configuration

Creation

SNMP Main Connection

This connector uses a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) connection and requires the following input during element creation:

SNMP CONNECTION:

  • IP address/host: The polling IP of the device.

SNMP Settings:

  • IP port: The IP port of the device.
  • Get community string: The community string used when reading values from the device. (default: public)
  • Set community string: The community string used when setting values on the device. (default: private)

Sync Output

Sync Time Code

This page holds the various VITC Status, TC Drop Frame Select, Bit Format, Source ID, Time Zone and different types of Offsets. You can also find multiple page buttons linking to VITC NTSC Lines and PAL.

Sync Jam

Various status parameters dealing with Output Jam can be found here, with five page buttons for each Jam Schedule. Inside each schedule the user can configure the Period of Time, How Often, Day, Time etc.
