The Interface Counter Telemetry Connection State displays the current status of the Interface Counter telemetry session. The status will display Connected if the connector is currently listening to the telemetry session.

Telemetry Settings

This page displays parameters used for the configuration of the telemetry settings to subscribe to the Mellanox Interface Counter telemetry sessions:

  • The TCP Listener IP Address and Data Source Port indicate the IP address and port to create the TCP network client for listening to device telemetry data.

  • The Interface Polling Mode is used to switch the polling mode between SNMP and Telemetry for the Detailed Interface Info table, Detailed Interface Info - RX table, and Detailed Interface Info - TX table.

  • The Interface Detail Debug parameter allows you to enable debugging mode for telemetry. When this is enabled, the connector will log incoming telemetry data in the element's logging.

To start listening or subscribing to the Interface Counter telemetry session:

  1. Configure the client IP address and port on the Mellanox device.

  2. Configure the TCP Listener IP and Data Source Port parameters in the element.

The values of both parameters must be the same as what is configured in the Mellanox device.

  3. Switch the interface polling mode to Telemetry.
