Promise Technology Vtrak E-J Class
With this drive, you can gather and view general information from the Promise Technology VTrak E-J Class RAID storage systems.
About
The Promise Technology VTrak E-J Class connector is used to monitor a RAID Array. The connector gives the user an overview of the different paramaters of the array along with its status. The connector uses SNMP protocol to retrieve the data from the device. All tables are polled every 30 seconds.
Installation and configuration
Creation
This connector uses a Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) connection and requires the following input during element creation:
SNMP CONNECTION:
- IP address/host: The polling IP of the device, e.g., 10.11.12.13.
- Device address: Not used.
SNMP Settings:
- Port number: The port of the connected device, by default 161.
- Get community string: The community string used when reading values from the device. The default value is public.
- Set community string: The community string used when setting values on the device. The default value is private.
