Data tools

The Assistant is able to independently discover and query data sources through data tools. Each data tool exposes a specific data source, together with a description, its input parameters, and its output columns, so that an agent can determine when and how to use it.

Data tools fall into two categories:

• Native data tools: Data tools that are available by default after installing the DataMiner Assistant, without any additional configuration.
• Custom data tools: New data tools that you define yourself for a specific data source.
