Reports page overview

On the Reports page, depending on the type of card, a number of graphs can display alarm information for a particular time span:

Graph Description
Alarm distribution Colored bars show the actual alarm distribution compared to the average distribution.
Alarm events Visual representation of the number of alarm events. On a view card, a graph is displayed for each element with alarm events in the given time span.
Alarm states Visual representation of the dominant alarm states. On a view card, a graph is displayed for each element with alarm events in the given time span.
Heatmap A number of timelines representing the alarm severities as they occur over time.
On a view card, there are timelines representing view child items and aggregation rules. On a service or element card, there are timelines representing the service or element itself and its parameters.
- To view the timelines of child items or parameters with a legend on the left, select the Expanded view checkbox.
- To drill down to parameter level, double-click a timeline.
- To view more information about a timeline when not in expanded view, hold the mouse pointer over the timeline until a tooltip appears.

To change the time span represented in the graphs, click a time span at the top of the screen:

  • Last 24 hours

  • Week to date

  • Month to date

Note
  • In the lower right corner next to each of the graphs an “i” icon is displayed. Hover the mouse pointer over the icon for more information about the graph.
  • The Heatmap report type is only available in DataMiner Systems that use a Cassandra database or equivalent.
