DataMiner Cube Feature Release 10.6.11

This Feature Release of the DataMiner Cube client application contains the same new features, enhancements, and fixes as DataMiner Cube Main Release 10.6.0 [CU8].

Tip

New features

Element wizard now supports number, IP address, and IP port connector settings [ID 46390]

When you create or edit an element in DataMiner Cube, the Settings section of the element wizard now supports number, IP address, and IP port settings defined by the connector.

  • Number and IP port settings are displayed as numeric fields. Configured number ranges and decimal precision are applied, and IP port values must be whole numbers between 1 and 65535.
  • IP address settings are displayed as text fields.

All settings must contain valid values before you can save the element.

Element wizard now supports SNMPv3 and SNMP community credential settings [ID 46398]

When you create or edit an element in DataMiner Cube, the Settings section of the element wizard now supports SNMPv3 and SNMP community credential settings defined by the connector.

These settings are displayed as drop-down lists containing matching credentials from the Credential Library, alongside the existing token and username/password credential settings. The credentials are sorted alphabetically by name.

When a credential is added, renamed, or removed in the Credential Library while the wizard is open, the corresponding drop-down list is updated automatically. You must select a credential for every credential setting before you can save the element.

Jobs: All references with regard to the Jobs module will now be hidden when connected to a DMA running version 10.5.X or newer [ID 46180]

The Jobs module has been end-of-life since DataMiner 10.5.0. If Cube is connected to a DataMiner Agent running version 10.5.X or newer, from now on, it will hide all references with regard to this module.

Automation script editor: Enhanced way of selecting credentials [ID 46251]

When, in DataMiner Cube, you add a set of credentials in the automation script editor, you will now first have to select a credentials type.

After you select a type, Cube will only show credentials of that type that you are allowed to use. If you change the selected type afterwards, the selected credentials will be cleared and you will have to select a new set of credentials.

You cannot save the script until both a credentials type and a set of credentials have been selected.

Important

This feature will only work in conjunction with DataMiner server version 10.6.10/10.7.0 or higher.

User-Defined APIs: Rate limit notices can now be enabled for API tokens [ID 46336]

When you configure a rate limit for a User-Defined API token, you can now enable notice generation when that rate limit is reached. By default, this option is disabled.

The tokens overview now includes a Rate Limit Notices column indicating whether these notices are enabled for each token.

Note

This feature requires a DataMiner System version that supports notice generation for User-Defined API token rate limits. On systems without this capability, the existing token configuration remains unchanged.

Cluster upgrade status is now shown in the Cube header [ID 46504]

From now on, the status of a cluster upgrade will now be displayed next to the cluster name in the Cube header.

Possible statuses:

  • Upgrading... while the upgrade is in progress.
  • Upgrade done when the upgrade was successful.
  • Upgrade failed when the upgrade was not successful.

The Upgrade failed status is only shown to users who have permission to view and launch upgrades.

Note

This feature will only work in conjunction with DataMiner server version 10.5.0 CU20/10.6.0 CU8/10.6.11 or newer. If no status is available, Cube will continue to show the cluster name as before, ensuring compatibility with older DataMiner Systems.

SNMP: Empty SET community strings can now be specified in Cube [ID 46536]

When the SnmpPollingSnmpPlusPlusOnly soft-launch option is enabled, from now on, you can specify an empty SET community string in the element edit wizard and when creating a community credential.

Note

This feature will only work in conjunction with DataMiner server version 10.7.0/10.6.11 or newer. See also: SNMP: Empty community strings are now supported for SET operations [ID 46535].

Fixes

Alarm Console: Enabling the 'Severity duration' column could cause Cube to stop working [ID 46256]

When you connected to a DataMiner Agent with a large number of active alarms while the Severity duration column was enabled on the Active alarms tab, in some rare cases, Cube could stop working.

In addition, the severity duration could be calculated incorrectly when an alarm was updated after its severity had remained unchanged for a long time.

System Center - Agents: Hostnames could incorrectly be accepted when adding an Agent to a cluster [ID 46334]

When you manually added an Agent to a cluster in the Add Agent dialog, up to now, Cube could accept a hostname instead of requiring an IP address.
