The DataMiner Planned Maintenance (PLM) tool
The DataMiner Planned Maintenance (PLM) tool facilitates the scheduling and management of one-time or recurring maintenance events for the various resources and entities within a system.
Through a unified interface, users can define system resources, schedule maintenance events, and observe historical maintenance records.
The tool's flexible nature allows the definition of resources for any parameter from any protocol within a DataMiner System. The output from the Planned Maintenance tool can then be integrated in various ways to achieve specific outcomes, such as alarm masking, ticket suppression, etc.
This solution empowers users to create, edit, and delete maintenance events directly from the protocol interface or a low-code app.

Important
The Planned Maintenance tool is designed as a scheduling and tracking system for maintenance activities. It does not execute proactive actions or automated workflows based on the scheduler. This tool's purpose is to provide visibility into planned maintenance windows, allowing operators and integrated systems to coordinate activities accordingly.
Note
This solution includes the SLC-AS-PLM_MaskAlarms Automation script, which can mask/unmask correlation-based alarms during active PLM activities. To use this feature, you must configure a Correlation rule manually. For setup instructions, refer to the PLM Mask Alarms documentation.
