Discrete, analog and hybrid parameters

Discrete parameters

These parameters can have one of a limited set of predefined values. These can for instance be different strings.

For more information on how to update discrete parameters, see Updating discrete parameters.

Analog parameters

These parameters can have a value within a predefined range delimited by a minimum and a maximum.

For more information on how to update analog parameters, see Updating analog parameters.

Hybrid parameters

These parameters are similar to analog parameters, but can have a so-called exceptional, discrete value (e.g. “Undefined”).

If this exceptional value is selected, the rest of the parameter control will be shown as unavailable. This way, you can immediately see if a hybrid parameter has been set to its exception value.

For more information on how to update hybrid parameters, see Updating hybrid parameters.
