Tip

New features

Cube start window: DataMiner Systems using an unsafe connection will be marked with a padlock icon [ID 45317]

In the Cube start window, from now on, tiles representing a DataMiner System using an unsafe connection will be marked with a padlock icon.

The following types of connections are considered unsafe:

  • Connections using the HTTP protocol.
  • Connections using the HTTPS protocol with a certificate that has errors.
  • Connections using the HTTPS protocol with a valid certificate, but with the Trust anyway option set to true.

If you hover the mouse over a padlock icon, a tooltip will appear, explaining how the issue can be resolved.

Note

When you click a tile to launch a Cube, a popup window will appear when the connection is considered unsafe (once in case of HTTPS, each time in case of HTTP).

Changes

Enhancements

Cube will now use optimized requests to manage service template definitions stored in the new C:\Skyline DataMiner\ServiceTemplates folder [ID 45536]

Since DataMiner feature version 10.6.7, service template definitions are stored in the C:\Skyline DataMiner\ServiceTemplates folder instead of the C:\Skyline DataMiner\Services and C:\Skyline DataMiner\RemoteServices folders.

DataMiner Cube will now use optimized requests to manage the service template definitions in this new location.

Correlation: Grouping method 'By alarm' has been removed [ID 45545]

While editing a correlation rule, in the Alarm grouping section, you can indicate how you want the alarms to be grouped before they are evaluated.

The option "by alarm" has now been removed.

If existing correlation rules have this option configured, a warning will be shown, explaining that this is no longer supported, the Alarm grouping section will be empty, and the grouping will be removed the first time the rule is saved again.

Visual Overview - Reservation: Values of the [Elapsed time:], [Remaining time:], and [Time until start:] placeholders will be calculated using UTC time [ID 45618]

Up to now, the values of the [Elapsed time:], [Remaining time:], and [Time until start:] placeholders, used in the text displayed on a Reservation shape, would be calculated using the DataMiner time (i.e., the local time). This would result in incorrect calculations when, while a booking was active, a transition occurred from daylight saving time (i.e., summer time) to standard time (i.e. winter time).

From now on, the values of the [Elapsed time:], [Remaining time:], and [Time until start:] placeholders will be calculated using UTC time.

DataMiner Probes: Enhanced connection handling [ID 45634]

Because of a number of enhancements, overall DataMiner Probe connection handling has been improved, especially in scenarios with multiple or concurrent probe connections.

Visual Overview: Enhanced loading of profile instances into list box controls linked a session variables [ID 45701]

A number of enhancements have been made with regard to the loading of profile instances into list box controls linked to session variables.

DataMiner Probes: Enhanced stability and responsiveness when handling a large number of probes [ID 45825]

Because of a number of enhancements, overall handling of DataMiner Probes has been improved, especially in scenarios with a large number of probes or unstable network conditions.

Fixes

Data Display: Problem when resetting the layout of a table [ID 45277]

When the layout of a table was reset in Data Display, up to now, the table column widths would incorrectly not be reset to the values specified in the element connector.

Visual Overview: No message would appear when the maximum number of child shapes in a Children container shape was reached [ID 45524]

When the number of child shapes in a Children container shape reached the limit specified in the Maximum number of child shapes in a Children container shape user setting, up to now, the shape and the page would keep loading. No message would appear explaining that the child shape limit was reached.

From now on, users will get a message informing them that the child shape limit was reached and that not all shapes are being displayed.

Connection issues caused by culture-specific uppercase conversion of URL arguments [ID 45652]

When you connected to a local DataMiner Agent or a DaaS Agent via the DataMiner Cube desktop app, up to now, the URL arguments would be converted to uppercase using culture-specific rules. In some cases, this could result in incorrect character transformations and connection issues.

From now on, the URL arguments will be converted to uppercase using culture-invariant rules, which will ensure consistent and correct behavior across system cultures.

Spectrum analyzer cards: Left pane of the 'Edit monitor' and 'Edit script' windows would have an incorrect background color [ID 45653]

When, on the Spectrum Analyzer page of a spectrum analyzer card, you clicked the Monitors tab, and selected either Edit monitor or Edit script, up to now, in either the Edit monitor window or the Edit script window, the left pane would incorrectly have its background color set to light blue.

From now on, in both these windows, the left pane will have its background color set to white instead.

Spectrum analyzer cards: Pixels cut off from spectrum grid on the right and at the bottom [ID 45691]

Because of an issue with the grid calculation, up to now, a few pixels could get cut off from a spectrum grid on the right and at the bottom.
