Software support lifecycles
DataMiner support lifecycle policy
If you are following the Feature Release track, you always need to upgrade to the latest version to get the latest security updates. If you do not want to upgrade to a new Feature Release version but do want to get the latest security updates, you will need to switch to the Main Release track instead.
For the Main Release track, the following support is available:

Legend:
- Regular updates: Monthly cumulative updates containing fixes and security updates.
- Supported: Security updates and critical bug fixes only (as required).
- Limited support: Online technical help without software updates for fixes, security updates, or features.
Note
For security updates with third-party dependencies that are only compatible with a later version of DataMiner, it will be necessary to upgrade to this later version.

The following features currently have the "End of Engineering" status. They will no longer be updated but are currently still supported.

End of Life
The following features currently have the "End of Life" status. They are no longer available in current DataMiner versions.

End of Engineering
The following features currently have the "End of Engineering" status. They will no longer be updated but are currently still supported.

The overview below shows which lifecycle changes apply for each major DataMiner version.
DataMiner 10.3
- End of Support – Amazon Keyspaces Service, Azure Managed Instance for Apache Cassandra Service, and Amazon OpenSearch Service: Support for this feature ended with DataMiner 10.3.0 [CU8]/10.3.11. We recommend switching to Storage as a Service. Note that, though not recommended, using a self-managed OpenSearch database remains supported.
- End of Support – Annotations: Should no longer be used from this version onwards.
- End of Support – DataMiner Cube running in Internet Explorer/Edge in IE compatibility mode (XBAP)
- End of Support – MSSQL as local database: We recommend switching to Storage as a Service.
DataMiner 10.4
- End of Life – XML storage of SRM resources and profiles: From this version onwards, SRM resources and profiles must be stored in the indexing database instead of in XML.
DataMiner 10.5
